Internal Economic Situation
Structurally Very Weak

General situation :    Despite a unexplored rich mineral potential (coal, lead, zinc, chromium, silver), agriculture is the main economic activity. In Kosovo the authorities introduced unilateral euroisation (so without monetary agreement with the ECB); therefore the euro is de facto legal tender. It helped to stabilise/ minimise the level of inflation.

External Economic Situation
Very Weak

Main sources of foreign exchange :   Workers’ remittances, international support..
